Alberta Education Assurance Results
Alberta Education provides all school jurisdictions in Alberta with Assurance Measure Results Reports in the Spring and Fall of each year. The Spring Report provides results for the measures of Student Learning Engagement; Citizenship; 3-year High School Completion; 5-year High School Completion; Education Quality; Welcoming, Caring, Respectful, and Safe Learning Environments; Access to Supports and Services; and Parental Involvement. The Fall Report provides results for the measures associated with the Provincial Achievement Tests and Diploma Exams.

ECSD Annual Survey Results
Edmonton Catholic Schools conducts an annual survey to engage stakeholders with respect to the quality of Catholic education provided. The ECSD Assurance Survey is in alignment with the new Alberta Education Assurance Survey Results.

Diploma Exam Results
Diploma exams are administered each year in January, April, June, August, and November. Alberta’s diploma exams assess many of the outcomes set out in the provincial programs of study, but they don’t assess them all. The current 70/30 weighing puts more emphasis on coursework and school-awarded marks. It better reflects the broad range of work students put in over the entire course. Provincial Achievement Test (PAT) Results
Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs) are administered annually to all Alberta students in grades 6 and 9. Division Budget
The focus of the Edmonton Catholic Schools budget process is to facilitate achieving the objectives stated in our Division mission and vision statements and Alberta Education guiding principles. As such, Edmonton Catholic Schools is committed to offering a Christ-centred learning experience for all learners while maximizing the dollars that go directly to the classroom. The Division budget process involves Senior Administration, employees with expert knowledge, stakeholders and the Board of Trustees Audit and Finance Committee which includes all the Trustees and two external members. Most of the Division’s funding is provided by Alberta Education. The Division’s Operating Budget is prepared based on information in the Alberta Education Funding Manual for school divisions.
